“Composer Dan Visconti might be best known for being a pioneer in classical music entrepreneurship. He seems to be everywhere—from his acclaimed TED talks to insightful column in the Huffington Post to key artistic advisory/programming positions for Philadelphia’s classical music career incubator, Astral, and Chicago’s premiere chamber music group, Fifth House Ensemble.”
—The Classical Post
In my musical life, I’ve had the opportunity to play many roles in the creative process: as a creator, curator, artistic director, artist manager, writer, teacher, and speaker on music – all vantage points which inform a broad perspective of our creative ecosystem and the unique needs of musical artists.
This is a time in my career when I want to be shining the light on other artists and organizations who are creating great work at the frontiers of the imagination, and bring my focus to expanding opportunities for others.
My approach is driven by above all seeking to nourish, support, and celebrate each artist’s authentic self by cultivating their unique vision and values in creation of artistic language and materials, long term management of creative projects, and by forging meaningful connections which engage and expand each artist’s own thriving musical community. Below are some of the services I provide.

Artists I’ve supported have received commissions from major symphony orchestras, secured record deals, and realized entrepreneurial ventures including new music festivals and nonprofits. In my past work I’ve placed composers in multi-year residencies at opera companies, organized tours for ensembles, and placed artists at top management agencies – with a commitment to the total artist and human serving as a guiding light.
